Content Management System (CMS)
The ability for business owners to manage their own websites is very popular, with the release of content management systems. Essentially, a content management system, or CMS, gives the owner of a website the ability to edit content, post links, upload images and files and many other things to their own website via an easy-to-use editor. This reduces ongoing maintenance charges to web developers and allows you the freedom to adapt your website content to whatever is critical to your business or organization at that particular moment, without any delay.
The Page Pro Suite
We have developed and adapted a suite of web applications that run on top of the award-winning ImpressCMS open source product. Here is a video on some basics on how to edit content using our CMS.
These applications give you specific abilities on your website, such as:
- sophisticated content management
- news posting
- calendar & event management
- social bookmarking to sites like Facebook, Twitter and more, as well as statistics on what pages have been bookmarked
- member management
- creating contact forms
- proactive security system that blocks most common types of website hack attempts
- breadcrumb navigation
- related pages navigation
- support for SEO friendly javascript menu structures such as dropdowns, flyouts and accordion menus
- RSS feeds
- tracking of site visitors, what phrases have been searched for
- selling products via eCommerce
- automated sitemap with XML sitemap support
- And much more!

Why ImpressCMS?
We chose ImpressCMS as the platform for our applications because of it's history of stability, security, and a wealth of other open-source applications, often referred to as "modules," that give you easy "drop in and go" solutions to most of the common needs for a website. And since the platform is open source and developed with common powerful tools such as PHP and MySQL, you are never locked into a system that you cannot customize and grow with later down the road.
More than just a CMS
Another valuable aspect of ImpressCMS is in addition to managing content, it is also geared towards community websites that allow you to have members who can participate in online discussions and you can gear the content of your site to a specific group of users so your message is customized to their needs. Very few other CMS options offer such a robust platformwith the flexibility to grow in any direction that you need to.
